There was that Need For Speed movie from a few years ago that was pretty crap but he did a cannonball run complete with a spotter plane and everything. I enjoyed that movie since I saw it for free as a promo.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but our fate was sealed when a hollywood producer and a car mag editor piled into a new Dodge vanbulance all those years ago.
Which means this guy is coming along as his co- driver in some muscle car built for America’s dead straight roads and out of service bridges.

Some of the best remakes were remakes of non-classic movies, and I’m not sure the Cannonball movies are true classics...
Either way, it should be a fairly easy formula to recreate. Get some entertaining people, use only practical stunts
, and keep the tone light. Now, whether the studio exes would let a movie like that get produced these days is the big worry...

I am not sure how active she is these days, but a larger role definitely wouldn’t displease me. Ever since I was a kid and cracked up from her role in ‘Creepshow’, she’s amused me.
They should have several of the remaining stars with some kind of role. Sadly, as even Cannonball Run II is 34 years old now, many are not with us anymore.
